i so hear ya! it seems like the moment i tackle my mt laundry it grows again. at an alarming rate! but you're right, we can be thankful we have clothes to wear.
There's only four of us and it feels like I'm forever doing laundry. When the kids were little, I would put the clean loads on the foot of the beds until I felt like folding it but they're too big for that. They help put their clothes away now and I've given in to the fact they'll probably just be shoved into drawers. LOL
Every time I take the time to sew, I'm deciding not to do something in the house... and it's mostly the laundry that has to go...as long as everyone in the house has something to wear for the next day, that's all I care about... I haven't seen the floor of my laundry room for a few days now...I will have to stop sewing and get rid of this pile!
Could we at least make a game out of sorting the laundry. You could edit poor sorting when you loaded the WM. That's a *lot* of laundry without some sort of help from the creators of the laundry :-)
My grandma May taught me to sew when I was in the fourth grade. I've always been interested in sewing and dabbled in it, but didn't actively start sewing until about 1998 and then into a true diehard around about 2000. I have been married for 15 years and have four children.

Looks like my house with my 4 kids, DH and me...
I am right there with you. There is a pile in my bedroom too.

There are only two of us here and the laundry seems to pile up so quickly.
Good gawd, woman! That is a lot of laundry!! The older kiddos do help with that, don't they? (hint hint...)
Remind them if mama ain't happy (aka, if mama ain't sewin'), ain't nobody happy.
No wait, my first response should have been "I'll be right over to help you!"
